At Busy Bees, we’re proud to serve the PS303Q community by providing enriching, inclusive, and engaging after-school experiences, all held right at PS303Q.

Our mission is to create a positive environment where every child can explore, learn, and thrive beyond the school day. Through hands-on projects, academic support, and creative enrichment, students develop socially, emotionally, and intellectually, all while having fun.

Lessons

After School activities run from school dismissal until 4:00 p.m.
Extended Care is available from 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. for an additional fee.

FAQ

  • What are the After School Program hours?

    The program runs from school dismissal until 4:00 pm, Monday through Friday on school days. We follow the NYC Department of Education (DOE) school calendar and are closed on school holidays, half days, and any days school is closed, including weather-related or emergency closures.

    Extended Care is available until 6:00 p.m. for an additional fee. After 4:00 pm, students enrolled in Extended Care will focus on homework and other activities until picked up.

  • Where is the program located?

    The After School Program takes place within the P.S. 303Q building.

  • Where is the pick-up location?

    Pick-up is at the main entrance of P.S. 303Q, beginning at 3:50 p.m.

  • Can my child go home on their own?

    If your child is in 4th or 5th grade and will be self-dismissing, Busy Bees must receive written authorization via email from a parent or legal guardian listed on the family account prior to your child's first day of self-dismissal.

    Once a student has been authorized to self-dismiss and has been dismissed from the Busy Bees After School program, responsibility for the student's supervision transfers to the parent/guardian.

  • Is there bus service?

    There is no bus service available for the After School Program. All students must be picked up at the main entrance of P.S. 303Q or may self-dismiss with written permission.

  • Who are the Instructors?

    Our instructors consist of a blend of P.S. 303Q teachers and professional instructors provided by our trusted partner vendors.

  • Can I send snacks or food with my child for after school?

    Yes, you are encouraged to send snacks with your child. Please pack the snacks in a separate bag labeled ”ASP Snack” with your child’s name. Glass containers are not permitted.

    Please note: Busy Bees After School provides a snack during the Extended Care, which runs from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm.

  • What do I do if my child comes home without a book or personal property?

    The After School Program is not responsible for items misplaced during the day or in After School. All labeled items will be returned to the student. Any found items will be placed in the lost and found at the end of the day.

    Please note: Once a student has been dismissed, they cannot return to retrieve forgotten items, but any lost items can be picked up the following day.
